It is Christmas Eve 1987 and you are part of Smartoys staff Christmas party.  This year, Fiona Smartley-Price (Smartoy’s CEO) has extra cause to celebrate because the company have achieved having the Christmas Number 1 toy in the shops.  Mouseville Friends is that toy and was the brainchild of Siobhan (Fiona’s daughter and a managing director of the company).  She launched the new toy along with her fiancée Noel Thurst who is a television executive that has launched an animated series based on the toys. This has just completed its first series on CBBC.  Will the celebrations continue all night long or will sinister happenings halt them?

Tonight, it is New Year’s Eve 1999.  Martin McDonald is hosting a fabulous NYE party.  It’s been an incredibly busy year for his company – Techsol.  Everybody has required software upgrades to combat the Y2K bug which has meant that 1999 has been the company’s most profitable year to date. Will the celebrations last well in to the new millennium or are somebody's days numbered?

Dr Alan Parfitt is senior partner of the local surgery and is retiring tonight. The Doctor is a well-respected pillar of the local community and also works with the local police assisting them with evidence and forensics. Does somebody bear a grudge against the doctor and would they take revenge?

However, before she can do so the club’s founding member, John Stanhope, is found dead and the book is missing. Had John deduced something that was worth killing for? Tonight is a celebration of the 500th car rolling off the production line. But is this party going to run as smoothly as one of her automobiles, or will tensions overheat and cause the wheels to come off the road?

We are celebrating the 150th anniversary of Captain 'Fearless' Falcon’s death. Captain Falcon was a merciless pirate who was responsible for much death and destruction on the high seas. It is rumoured that there was a vast treasure hidden at the Captains house, Talon Hall, but this has never been discovered. The new owner of Talon Hall, Sir Graham Buchannan will also be here tonight, along with members of the Fearless Falcon Society. Is the discovery of an old map key to finding the treasure? And would anybody kill to get their hands on so much money?

The Deal (Optional Costume – Standard Party Wear)

The Deal, a new game show, is being piloted this weekend. All the contestants, their friends and relatives have been invited to stay together at the hotel to get to know each other before the cameras roll the following day – the first mistake made by the production company. Its second mistake? Choosing to use the contestants for the game show rather than the great crime thriller that is set to unfold over the course of the evening.

Sinister (Optional Costume –Mad Scientist)

Michael and Georgina Kettleworth are celebrating their wedding anniversary tonight. Michael is a successful scientist currently engaged in some top secret research, which he conducts at a secret laboratory based near to the hotel. It is 1926. Mable Cartwright is a spinster living in the small village of Killinton, and she often encounters and investigates unusual crimes, much to the annoyance of the local constabulary. She is here for tonight’s church fundraising party and has really been looking forward to it. However, the event turns out not be the success that she prays for as disturbing news of a death is received from the St. Cuthbert’s. Can she, with the help of the guests and the police, solve this most unholy of murders?

This evening, Lord & Lady Jacobson are hosting a party in honour of their son’s engagement to socialite Champagne Oxton. With the Jacobson manor undergoing substantial refurbishment, the very wealthy Jacobsons are hosting the party at the hotel, and you’re invited. Tonight, is supposed to be an evening of celebration – but will everything go to plan? Perhaps – but it depends on who’s plan!?

Deck the Halls (Optional Costume – Christmas Party Wear)

The Hargreaves family have made a fortune in the Christmas decoration business and are celebrating tonight with an unforgettable Christmas party after having yet another successful year.  Patriarch of the family is Sir Declan Hargreave, who established the business many years ago. 

Tonight, he is promising to reveal some important news. Everyone is expecting him to announce his retirement and who will succeed him as head of the company. The new head will instantly be in control of a multimillion-pound business and reap the rewards that kudos would bring… Is everyone excited about this possible news – surely nothing sinister could happen at Christmas?

In a new competition, members of the public have been given the chance to audition for a part in London’s West End revival of, ‘Snow White’.  The producers are looking to cast a new leading lady and are eagerly awaiting the contestant’s efforts. 

We are now at the final and you have been invited to witness who will be crowned as the new pantomime queen and earn themselves a lucrative Westend contract.  However, what dirty laundry will be washed in this public event?  Who has been on the casting couch?  Is someone so determined to a get a part that they would be prepared to commit murder, murder on the wall?
